⑤ Precautions for SDI cable wiring

SDI terminals are structurally difficult to apply large-volume electroprotective
devices, and are generally sensitive against electrostatic effects.
Following information is example in case of Japan
Please note the following points when connecting the SDI cable:
◼ Do not use a 3-core to 2-core conversion plug on the device's power code.
Connecting to a 3-core medical outlet directly or via an isolation transformer
of the workstation.
◼ In order to reduce the electrostatics charge, perform wiring operations for
while connecting all power codes of the devices to outlets. In case that the
medical outlest is not available, perform wiring with connecting a power
codes to the isolation transformer of the Workstation. Because the device
disperses charged electrostatics, it will reduce electrostatics effect.
◼ To reduce Electrostatic charge, perform wiring after touching metallic objects,
such as a steel cabinet.
