3. Confirm that the following occurs when the distance between the distal end
of the endoscope and an object is varied between 5 and 60 mm (see Figure
4.12):
As the distance is increased, the light being emitted from the distal end of
the endoscope increases.

4. Confirm that the following occurs when the brightness control switches are
pressed with the distal end of the endoscope between 30 and 40 mm from
the object (see Figure 4.13. Not applicable to the combination with OTV-S6
or OTV-SX2):
• Each time the switch is pressed, a sound is heard and the brightness
level indicator moves up or down one level.
• When the switch is held down, successive sounds are heard and the
brightness level indicator moves continuously.
• The brightness increases or decreases accordingly.
