TheProcessingCoresmenuallowsyoutochoosethetypeandnumberofFM,HD,andstreaming
processing cores available, and provides controls to enable the studio processing core, the
compositeinputs,andanadditionalauxiliarymonitoroutput.
TheFMpulldownmenuallowsyoutoenableaprocessingcorefortheFMMPX(composite)
output,L/Routput,orboth.NotethatifbothMPXandL/Rcoresareinuse,“Undo”willbe
availableonInputs1and2,butnotonInput3.
TheHDCoresmenuletsyouchoosehowmanyHDprocessingcoresareavailable.
TheStreamingCoresmenuallowsyoutochoosehowmanystreamingprocessingcoresare
available.
The Aux Monitor Outputis a third speaker controller, similar to the Speaker and
Headphone Outputs, which can be used to route audio to another studio or area of the
station. Because it is fully routeable and can provide audio from many different patch
pointswithinOmnia.9,youcanalsouseittofeedaudiotoanotherprocessor.Alternately,if
youeverfindyouneedtoprovidedeemphasizedaudiotoatransmitter,thatcanbedone,
too – just remember to use the L/R clipper instead of the MPX clipper when selecting a
patchpoint.
Notethat“Undo”willbeavailableonlyonInputs1and2ifyouenabletheprocessingcores
forallthreeHDandstreamingaudiopathssimultaneously.However,“Undo”isavailableon
allthreeinputs ifyoudisable allthreeHD processingcoresOR disableallthree streaming
cores.
StreamingEncodersMenu
TheStreamingEncodersmenuallowsyoutoselectthemaximumnumberofeachtypeofencoder
available(AAC,MP3,WMA,MP2,andVorbis).
SelectingtheApplyConfigbuttonwillplacesanychangesyouhavemadeintoeffect.
This will take your station off the air and disconnect all streams for approximately 15
seconds.
PasswordMenu
ThePasswordmenuallowsyoutopasswordprotectyourOmnia.9.
SelectingtheEnterPasswordfieldbringsuptheonscreenkeyboardforenteringasystem
password,whichmustbeenteredagainintheRepeatPasswordfieldforverification.
To lock the front panel touchscreen, select the Menu button on the Home Screen and
choose Lock Front Panel. To clear the passwords, leave both the Enter Password and
RepeatPasswordfieldsemptyandselectClearPassword.
