TheDelaycontrolworksthesamehereasitdoespreviousandsubsequentdisplaysections.
TheOversamplingcontrolenablesordisablestheoscilloscope’s4xoversamplingfunction.
Without oversampling, some peaks may pass through without being displayed, giving an
inaccurate view of the signal. This is most critical when monitoring the MPX Output.
However,sinceoversamplingconsumesmoreCPUresources,itisturnedoffbydefault.
ThePhosphorPersistencecontroladjustshowlonglatentimagesremainonthescreen.A
settingof0providesnoimagedelayatallandoffersthegreatestamountofvisualdetailfor
the current information on the scope. Higher settings allow images of signal that has
alreadypassedthroughthescopetoremainonthescreenforprogressivelylongerperiods
of time.Setting this control all the way to the right keeps the image from fading at all,
usefulforcatchingpeaks.
TheGaincontroladjuststheYscaleoftheoscilloscopeandmovesthegridrelativetothe
signal.
TheLinescontroladjuststheoffsetofthereferencelinesasmeasuredindB.
TheZoomcontrolallowsyoutochoosebetweena1x,2x,and4xviewoftheXscale,
similartosettingthesweeptimeofatraditionaloscilloscope.
TheI/O(Input/Output)allowsyoutoviewtheaudiosignalatvariouspointsoftheProgram
Input,MPXOutput,MPXDecodedOutput,orL/RMPXOutputpaths.
o FromtheProgramInputmenu,youcanviewtheleftorrightinputaudiosignal.
o FromtheMPXOutputmenu,youcanviewtheMultiplex,leftdemodulated,right
demodulated, left deemphasized, or right deemphasized audio signal as well as
thepilottone.
o Fromthe MPXDecodedmenu,youcanview theleftorrightMPXDecoded audio
signal.
o From the L/R MPX Output menu, you can view the Multiplex, left demodulated,
rightdemodulated,leftdeemphasized,orrightdeemphasizedaudiosignalaswell
asthepilottone.
From the Declipper menu, you can view the audio signal before or after declipping in
eithertheleftorrightchannels.
