The Source Button allowsyouto choose the sourceaudiofor the FM processingsection.
Selectingthebuttonofthedesiredinputimmediatelyputsthecorrespondingaudiosource
ontheair.
TheInvertInputbuttonallowsyoutoinvertthepolarityoftheleftorrightinputchannels,
orbothchannelssimultaneously.
ThePhaseScramblerbuttonenablesordisablesthephasescrambler.Certainsharpsounds
with high harmonic content (such as trumpets or some synthesized sounds) are low in
energybutcontainhighpeaks.Sincepeaksmustbelimitedtopreventoverdeviationofthe
FM carrier, and the majority of those peaks will be removed by clipping, the sound may
becomedullanddistorted.ThePhaseScrambler,withoutemployinglimitingorclippingof
itsown,slightlyoffsetsthevariousharmonicspresentintheaudiotodrasticallylowerthe
peaklevel,therebyallowingmuchmoreof theaudiotopassthrough tothe finalclipper.
Theresultisadramaticallyimprovedhighendandlessdistortion.
The PassThrough Delay Time control adjusts the delay time for the passthrough patch
point,whichcontainstheoriginal,unprocessedaudiobutwithoutcompensationdelay.Itis
normallyinsyncwiththeInput,not theOutput.(Note: Ifyou feed theMPX signalfrom
anotherprocessorintooneofOmnia.9’sMPXinputsandmonitoritsoutputsignalthrough
Omnia.9’s Speaker or Headphone Monitor Output,, the passthrough patch point can be
used to view that signal with Omnia.9’s builtin instrumentation for an easy A/B
comparison!)

TheBassEFXmenuallowsyoutoenableordisabletheBassEFXfeatureand,whenenabled,adjust
thelevelofBassEFXprocessing.Whenusedinconjunctionwithheavieroveralllevelsofprocessing,
BassEFXhelpsretainthepunchoflowfrequencytransientssuchasthosefoundinakickdrum.
