TheStreamingmenuforeachoftheStreaming1,Streaming2,andStreaming3sectionscontains
settings for all of the various encoder and server options. From this menu, you can select and
configureanycombinationofAAC,MP3,MP2,Vorbis,orWMAstreams.
Adetailedexplanationofsettingupandconfiguringstreamingencodersandserverswouldrequire
an entiremanualofitsown, and isbeyondthescopeofthegeneral Omnia.9 manual. We have
assumedthatuserswhostreampossessatleastabasicknowledgeofhowstreamingaudioworks
andanunderstandingofthedifferencesbetweenthevariousformats.Weencourageyoutowork
closelywithyourITadministratorstoobtaintheinformationspecifictoyouroperation.
AACEncoderMenu
TheAACEncodermenuallowsyoutoenableordisablethestream,adjustitsoutputgain,enterthe
stream’stitle,andselecttheSBRMode,channelmode,samplerate,bitrate,andaudiobandwidth.
The Title field allows you to enter the stream title displayed to listeners and on public
listings,suchasshoutcast.com.
The Enable control enables or disables the stream. When enabled, the encoder will
continuallytrytoconnecttothespecifiedserver.
TheSBR(SpectralBandReplication)ModetogglesbetweenOff,On,andOversampled.We
recommendsettingthiscontroltoOff(AAC)forbitratesof160kbpsorhigher,On(AAC+)
forbitratesof96bpbsorlower,andOversampledforbitratesbetween96and128kbps.
