1.10 PROGRAMMING THE EQUIPMENT
The equipment’s operating parameters are normally programmed in the equipment
through an external PC with the aid of a suitable programming kit (described in the
relative section), leaving the user the possibility, however, of entering and/or
modifying some data through the portable unit’s keyboard.
In particular, the following main parameters can be programmed in the radio
laboratory:
• most frequently used group numbers;
• equipment’s identification codes, both single and group;
• possible geographic restriction for equipment use.
