The camera may not be able to detect the
movement of the subject in the following
cases.
When the moving subject is small
When the moving subject is at the edge
of the screen
When the subject starts moving the
instant the shutter button is pressed fully
While AF is activated
The setting is fixed to [ ] in the
following cases.
In [BABY1]/[BABY2] and [PET] in scene
mode
In [INDOOR PORTRAIT], [I.ISO
MACRO], [NORMAL SPORTS],
[OUTDOOR SPORTS] and [INDOOR
SPORTS] in advanced scene mode
Program shift cannot be activated when
the ISO sensitivity is set to [ ].
You cannot select [ ] in shutter-priority
AE mode and manual exposure mode.
Also, you cannot select [AUTO] in manual
exposure mode.
To avoid picture noise, we recommend
reducing the ISO sensitivity, setting
[NOISE RED.] in [FILM MODE] towards
[_] or setting the items except
[NOISE RED.] towards [`] to take
pictures. (P93)
If you set a maximum setting for the ISO
sensitivity, the camera automatically
changes to the optimal ISO sensitivity for
the brightness of the subject.
1 Press [MENU/SET] to display the
menu.
2 Press 3/4/2/1 to select [ISO
LIMIT SET] in the [CUSTOM
MENU] menu [ ] and then
press 1.
3 Press 3/4 to select the ISO
sensitivity and then press [MENU/
SET].
You can also use the front dial or the
rear dial to select a menu item.
4 Press [MENU/SET] to close the
menu.
You can also press the shutter button
halfway to close the menu.
