P6000 Emulator on PayTools
BT6002 and BT6000 are Bluetooth devices enabling connection of an Android
™
Smartphone to Paytec systems
via the APP PayTools.
In this specific case, here below are described the procedures for connection between the Smartphone in P6000
Emulator mode and the changegiver EAGLE.
As a matter of fact, the APP PayTools on your Smartphone can act as P6000 Emulator, thus avoiding the use of
the Programmer P6000.
For more detailed info on the use of P6000 or PayTools, please consult the dedicated user guides (available on
www.paytec.eu).
P6000 Emulator with Bluetooth
device BT6002
BT6002 is the new Paytec device, evolution of BT6000, enabling Bluetooth
connection between the changegiver
EAGLE and an Android Smartphone.
If you wish to use your Smartphone in P6000 Emulator mode with BT6002, the changegiver has to be updated
with firmware rev.3.00 (or later). For changegivers having earlier firmware revisions, the device BT6002 cannot
be used in P6000 Emulator mode but it can be equally used with the other tools integrated in the APP PayTools
(Configurator, Audit, Diagnostics).
Using your Smartphone in P6000 Emulator mode with BT6002:
1. Connect BT6002 to the changegiver (the changegiver must be OFF)
2. Give power to the changegiver. On the Smartphone screen, spot the ID code of the BT6002 you are supposed
to connect to (the ID code is written on the data label on BT6002), then associate your smartphone to the
BT6002 (when connecting for the first time, you are required to enter a PIN: enter 1234)
3. Start the APP PayTools. Enter the menu Settings and select the BT6002 associated to your Smartphone
4. Now click on the button P6000 on the Smartphone screen: the P6000 keyboard will be displayed
5. Click four times on “ESC”
6. The changegiver will be restarted. Wait till the message “Enter Password” is displayed, then enter the password
valid for the changegiver and click on “ “ to confirm. The Smartphone is now connected to the changegiver
in P6000 Emulator mode
Press four times “ESC” or cut power to the changegiver if you wish to exit P6000 Emulator.
P6000 Emulator with Bluetooth
device BT6000
BT6000 (with integrated battery) is the earlier model enabling Bluetooth
connection between the changegiver
EAGLE and an Android Smartphone.
Using your Smartphone in P6000 Emulator mode with BT6000:
1. Connect BT6000 to the changegiver (the changegiver must be OFF)
2. Press the ON button on BT6000 to start the Bluetooth
signal
3. On the Smartphone screen, spot the ID code of the BT6000 you are supposed to connect to (the ID code is
written on the data label on BT6000), then associate your smartphone to the BT6000 (when connecting for the
first time, you are required to enter a PIN: enter 1234)
4. Start the APP PayTools. Enter the menu Settings and select the BT6000 associated to your Smartphone
5. Now click on the button P6000 on the Smartphone screen: the P6000 keyboard will be displayed
6. Give power to the changegiver and wait till the message “Enter Password” is displayed, then enter the
password valid for the changegiver and click on “ “ to confirm. The Smartphone is now connected to the
changegiver in P6000 Emulator mode
Cut power to the changegiver if you wish to exit P6000 Emulator.
If the changegiver has been updated with firmware rev 3.00 (or later), you can cut connection by clicking four
times on ESC on the P6000 keyboard. The changegiver will be restarted.
