™ Open the battery chamber cover.
£ Insert two size AA batteries into the battery chamber with the battery
takeup tape underneath. Insert the batteries correctly with regard to
polarity (+ and –) marked on the battery and battery chamber.
Caution
• If the batteries are placed in wrong directions, power cannot be turned on.
• If a CR-V3 lithium battery pack is inserted, also make sure the polarity marks.
• Be sure to place the battery takeup tape under the batteries. Otherwise, you may find it hard
to remove the batteries.
¢ Close the battery chamber cover.
After closing the battery chamber cover, slide it toward the objective lenses to lock
it.
