On machines with feed regulator lever and open gearcase.

Make sure that clamp screw 1 (Fig. 4.0.3) is still loose, and push feed regulator
lever 11 fully downwards.
Loosen screw 12.
Turn eccentric bush 13 so that marking 14 faces downward and the edge of the
milled surface is at an angle of roughly 45° to the front side of the machine
(preliminary adjustment for machines with subcl. -911/..; for final adjustment see
section 48).
Tighten screw 12.
Remove the 16 screws of the gearcase cover and take off the cover with its
gasket, making sure that oil which may be running out, is caught.
Remove the lubrication pad from the gearcase.
Loosen clamp screw 9 just sufficiently to allow crank 10 to be turned on its shaft.
In order to show the absence of feed motion more clearly, insert a screw driver
in the slot of feed driving crank 5.
Rotate the balance wheel and simultaneously turn crank 10 on its shaft until
the feed dog (i. e. the screw driver in feed driving crank 5) no longer moves.
In this position, tighten clamp screw 9.
Check this adjustment (see "Correct setting") and take the screw driver out of
feed driving crank 5.
