17.2 Select Location for Controller
Select a location that:
• Easily accessible and allows for comfortable viewing
• Has a at wall surface
• Near 120 VAC or 230/240 VAC power source (depending on model)
• Is safe from potential vandalism
• Is outside the range of operating sprinklers
17.2.1 Gather Installation Tools
Before beginning installation, gather the following tools and materials:
• Slotted Head Screwdriver
• Philips Head Screwdriver
• Thin Blade Screwdriver
• Lineman’s Pliers
• Torpedo Level
• Hammer
• Grounding Strap
• #8 AWG or #10 AWG Bare Ground Wire
• WC20 Waterproof Wire Connectors
• Tape Measure
• Wire Stripper
• Wire Nuts (provided)
• Marking Pencil
• Electric drill (or Hammer Drill if installing in masonry or concrete wall)
• Waterproof Caulking
