The following alarm conditions are defined for the NeuroSmart's pressure values and temperature val-
ues:
The alarm is triggered if the limit value is exceeded or fallen below for 6 seconds within a 10-
second interval.
The following measurement values can be monitored:
- ICP1/2: Mean Pressure, Amplitude
- ICPT: Mean Pressure, Amplitude
- ART: Systolic and diastolic pressure, mean pressure
- CPP: Mean Pressure
- CVP: Mean Pressure
- T1/ T2: Average Temperature
- pO2 Mean Pressure
3.6.3 Technical alarms
The technical alarms are subdivided into the three categories: device alarms, sensor alarms and tech-
nical instructions.
Device alarms are states where correct device function is no longer guaranteed. Sensor alarms are
states in which a measurement or storage function can no longer be performed or can only be performed
in a limited manner due to removal of a sensor or storage overflow.
Technical instructions are states in which a measurement function can no longer be performed due to
the hardware/accessories being used.
The only difference between the three states is that only the info message is acknowledged (in the case
of the sensor alarm and technical instructions), the acoustic alarm and visual alarm signal are reset.
With device alarms, the visual alarm signal is not reset.
Device alarms:
Device alarms can be classified as medium-priority or high-priority alarms. The following alarms are
classified as device alarms.
1. Battery empty (medium priority)
2. Storage full (medium priority)
3. Internal device error (high priority)
4. Oxygen module error (medium priority)
Sensor alarms:
Sensor alarms are classified as medium-priority alarms. The following alarms are classified as sensor
alarms.
1. Pressure sensor removed
2. Temperature sensor removed
3. Multi-parameter sensor removed.
4. Multi-parameter sensor storage error
5. Error during measurement of pO2 value
6. Temperature sensor in oxygen catheter faulty.
7. Amplitude of visual pO2 measurement signal too low (<375)
