OPERATION
OPERATION CHECKLIST
To begin applying product using the Hawkeye
®
nozzle control system:
1. Verify that nozzle control is enabled.
2. Verify the proper control mode (Standard, Bypass, On/Off, High Flow, or VP) is enabled.
3. Set to the desired target rate.
4. Verify the nozzle tip size selection for the Hawkeye
®
nozzle control system.
5. Verify the product type (Water Based or Fertilizer). Refer to the System Settings Tab - Product Control section
on page 32.
6. Set the desired target pressure. Refer to the Target Pressure section for additional information.
NOTE: Target pressure is not available in VP, ON/OFF, and Bypass modes.
7. If the machine is equipped with a master tank valve, verify the tank valve is open to direct flow to the carrier
pump.
8. If the machine is equipped with a toggle switch to engage the pump, it may be necessary to engage the switch
before using the Engage Pump softkey on the Hawkeye
®
screen.
9. Select the product pump softkey to toggle the product pump on. Refer to the Main Product Pump Switch
section for additional information.
10. For systems with Sidekick Pro ICD injection, select the product selection button for the desired injection pump
in the lower home screen. Select the product on/off button in the upper home screen to turn the injection
product on with the master switch.
11. Toggle the equipment master switch to the on position.

Menu button on the UT Menu.
