Setting Application Mode and Injection Diagnostics
Injection Diagnostics
The following diagnostic information is displayed on the Viper Pro Injection Settings screen:
Note: The units for injection system pressure displays may be set to PSI or kPa. Refer to the control
console operation manual for information on selecting display units.
Injection Pressure. These values are the pressure observed during the pressure stroke of the left and right
pump heads.
Intake Suction. These values are currently not used and will display a value of zero.
PVD. The PVD (pump valve diagnostics) value is a tool used in conjunction with the PVD Error Cal to identify
the relative efficiency of the pump. This area displays a value between 0 and 100.
Note: This number is an indicator of pump health and cannot be used to meter flow from the pump.
Motor RPM. The current RPM of the injection pump motor is displayed in the lower portion of the Injection
Settings screen.
Voltage. The high current voltage detected by the CAN motor control node is displayed in this area.
% PWM. The percent PWM value may be used to determine how hard the pump is being driven. A value of
100 indicates the pump is being driven at the maximum.
Node Temperature. The temperature of the motor control node is displayed in this area. This value, in
conjunction with the motor RPM, may be useful to help determine how hard the pump is being driven.
