b) Inspect the surface of the flap blade and the housing of the inlet isolation
device for material deposits accumulation, wear and tear.
Remove visible material deposits.
If blade thickness is at or below the following values, then the blade and/or
corresponding components need to be replaced:
Size Critical thickness
DN 140-DN 315 1.5 mm
DN 355-DN 1000 2.5 mm
c) The flap blade must be lifted manually to inspect the pipe socket and
the underside side of the flap blade. To do so, remove the locking
mechanism cover which is screwed to the inlet isolation device. All
screws must be loosened and removed to remove the cover.
