When the auxiliary equipment channels are turned on and the auxiliary equipment is not connected
to the SmartMonitor 2, a flat line will be recorded and reported.
The auxiliary channels enable you to interface other signals to SmartMonitor 2. Options for each of
these channels are best defined with the System Software. External auxiliary devices can be interfaced
to provide Sp02, Pulse, EtCO2, pH, or any analog signal in the range of –1.25 to +1.25 volt.
The Synergy-E software will allow you to customize the channel label, voltage range, and value scale.
For instance an Oximeter may have a range of 0-1 volt and a scale of 0-100%. Refer to the Synergy-E
Operators Manual for more information.
