Issue/ Error Causes Solutions
Several nozzles out –
does not improve not at
all or just a little with
head normal and strong
head cleans
The print head nozzle has dried
and is clogged with ink.
4.3. Remove the head protection cover.
4.4. Turn the power on, select [AUTO
HEAD CLEAN] and perform [STRONG]
cleaning and nozzle check for 3 to 5
times.
4.4. Perform Nozzle Strong Maintenance
and nozzle check for 3 to 5 times.
4.6. Use a cleaning cartridge to replace
the ink in the head where the nozzle is
clogged with the cleaning liquid, and
leave it on for 24 hours. There are two
patterns of replacement with cleaning
liquid. See page 190 "Preparing Your
Printer for Storage/Shipping” See page
193, "Using the Printer in 4-color mode
(CMYK Only)”.
4.7. Replace the ink again and perform
Nozzle check to see if it meets the
recovery criteria.
If the problem persists, contact your
service or sales representative.
Dark shirt prints look
dull
White nozzles are 100% or
near 100%. In adequate
amount of pretreat on the shirt.
This can cause the white ink to
sink into the shirt.
Increase the amount of pretreat being
sprayed onto the shirt.
White nozzles are 100% or
near 100%, but it looks dull.
White ink has settled.
If the white cartridges are not agitated per
instructions, agitate the white ink
cartridges for 2 minutes. Then perform 3 to
4 strong head cleans. This will replace
most of the settled ink.
Missing many nozzles on one
or both white heads.
Perform head cleans to recover the nozzle
to 100% or near 100%.
Color print appear to be
shift from white
Underbase print.
Table height is too low. Set the garment correctly on the platen,
and then perform HEIGHT ADJUST again.
Head alignment is off. Perform the head alignment procedure
(see page 175, “Adjusting the Head”).
The print positions of white and
color are misaligned
Adjust the print position for white and color
(see page 181, “ Adjusting the print
position”).
Depending on the material of
the shirt and the amount of ink
ejected
Input the amount of “Choke” with
ColorGATE Productionserver.
