Issue/ Error Causes Solutions
Print looks too dull Nozzle is 100%. Wrong output
profile is selected.
If printing in 600 X 600 dpi and using a
profile meant for 1200 X 1200 dpi, the shirt
will look dull. Change the profile.
Cartridge reads 0% but
it was just at a high
percentage (for example
65%) from a previous
operation (before
printing or before
cleaning).
Temporary loss of Comm
caused the cartridge reading
error.
Pull out the cartridge that reads 0%. The
status should change to NC and the
cartridges not loaded message will appear
in the status bar.
Put the cartridge back in and the
percentage reading should go back to
normal.
If the percentage still reads 0% after
inserting the cartridge again, turn the
printer off and then turn it back on. The
cartridge should read correctly.
Blot of ink on the shirt The frame is blotting with ink Clean the frame.
The print head rubs against the
media during printing
Change the [HEIGHT SETTING], and then
perform HEIGHT ADJUST again.
(see page 47, “[HEIGHT SETTING] ”).
Decrease in white
density
White ink has settled. If the white cartridges are not agitated per
instructions, agitate the white ink
cartridges for 2 minutes. Then perform 3 to
4 strong head cleans. This will replace
most of the settled ink.
In particular, white ink may settle when
initially filling, when using a new cartridge,
or when reusing a cartridge that has not
been used for a long time.
The white concentration
is light.
Insufficient agitation of white
ink cartridges.
Agitate the cartridge additionally. After
that, perform ‘strong’ head cleaning 3-4
times.
