Press for 10 sec
Release for 10 sec
Fill the sprayer reservoir with the mixture. It is very important to use distilled water. Tap water, well
water, or filtered water could have mineral content that can affect the performance of the pre-
treatment.
Lay the garment down on a flat spray table. Ensure that the garment is even and flat.
Apply the pre-treatment mix with the sprayer. Apply an adequate and even amount to where the
material has an even wet sheen. Remember that you only need to apply the pre-treatment to the
areas that will be printed.
The standard amount of pretreatment liquid applied is about 30g for an A3-size (297x420mm)
printing area. However, the optimal amount may vary depending on the type of the garment.
Going in only one direction, use a plastic squeegee to help spread the pre-treatment evenly after
spraying. This also flattens any fabric fibers that may have risen due to the application of the wet
pre-treatment.
Dry the garment. You can use a heat press, a blow dryer, or a heat tunnel. Do not dry your
garments in a tumble dryer. These dryers are full of lint, and because the pretreatment is wet and
somewhat sticky, you will end up with lint stuck to the pretreatment.
When using garment with fluff, it is recommended to use a heat press to lay down the fluff during
drying.
If using a heat press to dry the garment, use the following steps.
Put a sheet of heat press paper on top of the pretreatmented shirt.
Press for 10 seconds then release for 10 seconds.
Repeat 3 to 5 sets of pressing and releasing.
The number of sets required varies depending on the thickness of the cotton garment and the
amount of pretreatment liquid applied.
Check the dryness of the pretreatment liquid visually and by touch, and repeat until the pretreatment
liquid is dry.
Set pretreatmented shirt Press paper
Repeat until dry.(3 to 5 times)

Once the garment is dry to the touch, you can print on it. If you plan on storing the garments for later
use, be sure that they are completely dry beforehand, in order to prevent mildew.
Caution:
If you hold the garment in the press for too long, you may
cause the pre-treatment to glaze as shown.
