The IC-M423G is an enhanced version of the IC-M423
fixed mount VHF/DSC (DIgital Selective Calling) and
includes an Integrated GPS receiver which allows current
position and time to be used for DSC calls.
It is designed with an easy-to-use menu-driven setup. You
use the soft-keys below the screen to enter the desired
functions, you browse and select a setting using the up,
down, left, right arrows and the ENT button. The large
display has a white backlight LCD which improves visibility.
The built-in active noise canceller reduces background
noise to up to 90% in the received signal and 30% in the
transmitting signal.
