Account Management Menu
The administrator password is used to turn services on/off. The administrator
password is also used for the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and file
server access. This password is different from the password used to exit ME
station into the Control Panel (Desktop Access Password).
The initial administrator password is set up as a part of the out of box
experience (OOBE). See step 11
on page 55 for this initial setup.
When changing the administrator password, the new password cannot be
blank. It must be between 1 and 64 characters. There are no special character
requirements; any special characters can be used if desired. We recommend
following best practices for passwords to ensure they are as secure as possible.
