102 CompTrol Interface V4.0.x | Issue 21-05-2021 | 1000932
Troubleshooting
Problem Possible cause and remedy
Error message E1 (communication
error) on the CompTrol Interface
or
Error message E1 (communication
error) on the wired remote control
The CompTrol Interface and wired remote control are both cong-
ured as slave.
Remedy:
–
Check the roles assigned in the X/Y remote control bus, see
“5.3.5 Status of the CompTrol Interface (master/slave) in the
X/Y remote control bus” on page 28.
–
Congure the wired remote control as master and the CompTrol
Interface as slave.
–
Check DIP switch S2-1 on the CompTrol Interface and correct
the setting if necessary.
Error message E1 (communication
error) on the wired remote control
The CompTrol Interface is faulty.
Remedy:
–
Switch o the entire system and secure so it cannot be switched
back on.
–
Unplug all connectors of the CompTrol Interface,
replace the CompTrol Interface, and re-insert all connectors.
–
Check the conguration of the CompTrol Interface.
–
Switch the system back on; reset errors on the wired remote
control if necessary.
Heat exchanger temperatures Thi-
R1, Thi-R2, Thi-R3 do not change
Fixed resistors have been used instead of contacting sensors.
Remedy:
This is normal. If required, the xed resistors can be replaced with
contacting sensors.
Air conditioning unit is cooling
although Heating mode has been
selected
The outdoor unit is in Defrosting mode.
Remedy:
–
Wait until the outdoor unit has ended Defrosting mode (3 to 10
minutes).
Programs 8 and 9 have recurrent
problems with high or low pressure
Incorrect DIP switch setting on outdoor unit.
Remedy:
–
On outdoor unit series FDC71 to FDC250, set DIP switch
SW4-3 on the outdoor units to ON.
In programs 8 and 9, the analog
input receives an input signal of
–
> 1 V DC (0-10 V DC);
–
> 0.5 V DC (0-5 V DC);
–
> 2 mA (0-20 mA);
–
> 5.6 mA (4-20mA);
while 0 Hz continues to be transmit-
ted as a frequency request
Broken wire at analog input X3-S.
Remedy:
–
Check cable and terminal on analog input X3-S for open
circuits.
–
Replace cable if necessary.
