Program 9 – direct frequency request with cascading
15.3 Setting the outdoor unit model via DIP switch S1
15.3.1 For FDC outdoor units: Set DIP switch S1 on the CompTrol Interface
Procedure for FDC outdoor units
1. Set DIP switch SW4-3 on the outdoor unit PCBs of the FDC outdoor units to ON (see other
applicable documents: FDC series Technical Manual).
2. Identify which FDC outdoor units are installed on site (see “Table 56: Setting the outdoor unit
model with DIP switches S1-5 to S1-8” on page 79).
3. Set DIP switches S1-5 to S1-8 in line with the FDC outdoor units installed on site (see “Ta-
ble 56: Setting the outdoor unit model with DIP switches S1-5 to S1-8” on page 79).
4. On both CompTrol Interface expansion modules, use DIP switches S2-3 and S2-4 to set the
signal ranges with or without signal overlap (see “15.4.1 Setting the signal ranges via DIP
switch S2” on page 82).
15.3.2 For SRC outdoor units: Set DIP switch S1 on the CompTrol Interface
Note
●
Make sure there is always a request during a setpoint/actual value comparison.
Procedure for SRC outdoor units
1. Replace the Thi-A sensor with a 5 kΩ xed resistor (see other applicable documents:
Technical Manual for heat exchanger connection module).
2. Set the temperature setpoint on the wired remote control:
– When using to cool: Set temperature setpoint to 18 °C.
– When using to heat: Set temperature setpoint to 30 °C.
3. Disable the wired remote control to prevent the temperature setpoint from being changed.
– Alternatively: Disable the wired remote control via a signal to digital input X2b-D3. The
CompTrol Interface is set to Center.
4. Identify which SRC outdoor units are installed on site (see “Table 56: Setting the outdoor unit
model with DIP switches S1-5 to S1-8” on page 79).
5. Set DIP switches S1-5 to S1-8 in line with the SRC outdoor units installed on site (see “Ta-
ble 56: Setting the outdoor unit model with DIP switches S1-5 to S1-8” on page 79).
6. On both CompTrol Interface expansion modules, use DIP switches S2-3 and S2-4 to set the
signal ranges with or without signal overlap (see “15.4.1 Setting the signal ranges via DIP
switch S2” on page 82).
