26 CompTrol Interface V4.0.x | Issue 21-05-2021 | 1000932
Functions of the CompTrol Interface expansion module
5.2.2 Remote ON/OFF
When a signal is applied to digital input X2a-D1, the indoor unit is switched on. If no signal is
applied to X2a-D1, the indoor unit is switched o󰀨.
Digital input X2a-D1 can additionally be set to forced mode (see “5.3.2 Forced mode” on
page 27).
5.2.3 Autoswing function
When a signal is applied to the digital input, the louvered aps of the indoor units are switched to
autoswing mode. The corresponding digital input is specied in the program description.
The autoswing function is available in the following program:
Program 4.
5.2.4 Center/Center-Remote
When a signal is applied to digital input X2b-D3, Center mode is activated. When Center mode is
active, the indoor unit can only be operated via the CompTrol Interface. It cannot be operated via
the wired remote control.
When no signal is applied to digital input X2b-D3, Center-Remote mode is activated. When
Center-Remote mode is active, the indoor unit can be operated by both the CompTrol Interface
and the wired remote control.
Center mode and Center-Remote mode are available in the following programs:
Programs 3, 5, 8, and 9.
5.2.5 Mode selection (Cooling/Heating/Fan)
If a signal is present at the corresponding digital input, the operating mode cannot be overridden
by the wired remote control. This a󰀨ects Cooling, Heating, or Fan modes, depending on the pro-
gram.
Each program features mode selection. You can nd further details on the correlation between
operating modes and digital inputs in the relevant program description.
5.2.6 Preset fan speed
Activating digital inputs X2c-D5 and X2c-D6 enables three xed fan speeds to be set. If the
Preset fan speed” function is active, the fan speed can no longer be adjusted using the wired
remote control.
The “Preset fan speed” function is available in the following programs:
Programs 0 and 2 to 9.
5.3 Special functions
5.3.1 Automatic fan speed control
DIP switch S2-4 activates automatic fan speed control.
Automatic fan speed control changes the fan speed. It adjusts the fan speed depending on the
temperature. The temperature setpoint and temperature actual value are compared and the fan
speed adjusted accordingly if they di󰀨er. If automatic fan speed control is active, digital inputs D5
and D6 “Preset fan speed” are ignored.
