Troubleshooting
18 Troubleshooting
The table below describes possible problems with the CompTrol Interface. If the problem cannot
be rectied, please contact Technical Support.
Note
For troubleshooting CompTrol Interfaces in program 10, see the CompTrol Master Technical
Manual. Program 10 is available with CompTrol Interface V4.0.3 or higher.
Problem Possible cause and remedy
Changes to DIP switch settings are
not applied
The CompTrol Interface was still connected to the electrical supply
when the DIP switches were changed.
Remedy:
Cut o󰀨 the electrical supply to the CompTrol Interface by remov-
ing connector X1 from the CompTrol Interface before changing
DIP switch settings.
Then change the DIP switch settings.
Plug the X1 connector back in again.
The CompTrol Interface does not
initialize on the remote control bus
or
The indoor unit does not respond to
commands from the CompTrol
Interface
The CompTrol Interface and wired remote control are both cong-
ured as master.
Remedy:
Check the roles assigned in the X/Y remote control bus, see
“5.3.5 Status of the CompTrol Interface (master/slave) in the
X/Y remote control bus” on page 28.
Congure the wired remote control as master and the CompTrol
Interface as slave.
Check the setting of DIP switch S2-1 on the CompTrol Interface
and correct if necessary.
The CompTrol Interface is not
active even though the electrical
supply is connected.
The jumpers on pin headers S5 and S6 are incorrectly positioned.
Remedy:
Check the type of electrical supply, see “4.2 CompTrol Interface
electrical supply” on page 18.
Correct the position of the jumpers on pin headers S5 and S6,
see “4.2.1 Pin headers S5 and S6” on page 18.
Set temperature and/or frequency
setpoints are not reached or
uctuate
The analog signal set at jumpers S4 and S7 does not match the
analog signal present at analog input X3.
Remedy:
Check the analog signal type at analog input X3, see “4.4.1
Analog input X3” on page 19.
Correct the position of the jumpers on pin headers S4 and S7,
see “Table 6: Analog signal type” on page 19.
