11.1 Overview
Fault Possible cause Remedy
No water flow from
hot taps
• Main water supply closed.
• Strainer blocked.
• Cold water inlet combination valve incorrectly
fitted.
• Mains water supply open.
• Clean strainer.
• Fit the cold water inlet combination valve
correctly.
Water from hot taps
is cold.
• Immersion heater not switched on.
• Immersion heater thermal cut-out has
operated.
• FSV set to space heating or not enabled.
• Boiler not working.
• Diverter valve not operating correctly.
• Check and switch on.
• Check and reset button.
• Check and set to domestic hot water.
• Check DHW operation. If fault suspected,
consult installer or boiler manufacturer.
• Check wiring and/or plumbing connections to
diverter valve.
Intermittent water
discharge
• Reduced internal expansion.
• Thermal control failure.
(Note water will be hot).
•
Repressurize expansion vessel. Follow cold
water discharge.
• Switch off power to immersion heater(s) of
the unit. When discharge has stopped, check
thermal controls, replace if faulty.
Excessive hot water
from taps
• Cylinder thermostat set to high.
• Faulty cylinder thermostat.
• Adjust cylinder thermostat.
• Replace faulty thermostat.
• Check wiring on cylinder thermostat.
The compressor does
not start
• When the water inlet temperature is over
not an error) only the pump works, and if the
compressor will work.
•
the compressor does not work:
– Check if outdoor unit is thermo on.
– Check error details on the outdoor unit.
After commissioning
the system makes a
gurgling noise.
• There is air in the system.
• Purge air from the system by opening the
automatic air vent.
• Incorrect hydraulic balance.
1 Perform hydraulic balancing to assure that
the flow is correctly distributed between the
emitters.
2 If hydraulic balancing is not sufficient,
change the pump limitation settings [FSV
#4051 Setting], a design issue is present in
the system.
• Various malfunctions.
• Check the installation status or whether the
system is working properly.
