Fault Possible cause Remedy
The space is not
sufficiently heated
at low outdoor
temperatures
(heating complaint)
• The backup heater operation is not activated.
• Check the following:
– The backup heater overcurrent circuit breaker
is on. If not, turn it back on.
– The thermal protector of the backup heater is
not activated. If it has,check the following,
and then press the reset button in the switch
box:

• The backup heater FSV Setting has not been
configured correctly.
• Check FSV Setting (#4021-#4025).
• There is air in the system. • Purge air from the system.
• Too much heat pump capacity is used for
heating domestic hot water.
• Check if the Space heating priority settings
have been configured appropriately:
– Make sure that the Space heating priority has
been enabled. [FSV Setting]
– Increase the "space heating priority
temperature" [FSV #4012 Setting]
The pressure at the
tapping point is
temporarily unusually
high
• Failing or blocked pressure relief valve.
• Flush and clean the complete tank including
the piping between pressure relief valve and
the cold water inlet.
• Replace the pressure relief valve.
Tank disinfection
function is not
completed correctly
• The disinfection function was interrupted by
domestic hot water tapping.
• Program the start-up of the disinfection
function when no domestic hot water tapping
is expected.
• Large domestic hot water tapping happened
recently before the programmed start-up of
the disinfection function.
• Adjust the operating time of the tank
disinfection function or increase the
maximum time. [FSV #3041-3046 Setting]
• The disinfection operation was stopped
manually.
• Do not stop tank operation during
disinfection manually.
NOTE
• Disconnect electrical supply before removing any electrical equipment covers.
