Thismachineusestonercartridgeandlaserbeamformonoprinting.

M332x/M382x/M402xserieshas2typesoftonercartridge.M3320/M3820/M4020serieshastheintegratedtonersystem

andM3325/M3825/M4025serieshastheseparatedtonersystem.Theseparatedtonersystemconsistsoftonercartridgeand

imagingunit.TheimagingunithasanOPCdrum,cleaningbladeetc.

TheOPCdrumischargedwithanegativevoltagebythechargerollerandisexposedbythelightfromtheLSU(Laser

Scanningunit).ThelightproducedbyalasercreatesalatentimagebydischargingonthesurfaceoftheOPCdrum.The

negativelychargedtonersareattractedtothelatentimageduetoandelectriceld.Thetoners(realimage)ontheOPCdrum

aremovedtothetransfermediabythepositivebiasappliedtothetransferroller.

2)Laserexposure:LightproducedbyalaserdiodeirradiatesthechargedOPCthroughthelensandmirrors.

3)Development:Thismachineusesadual-componentdevelopmentsystem.Themagneticrollercarriesnegatively

chargedtonertothelatentimageonthedrumsurface.

4)Transfer:ThetransferrollersoppositetheOPCdrumstransfertonerfromthedrumstothetransfermedia(e.g.paper,

OHPlm,etc).

5)CleaningforOPCdrum:Thecleaningbladeremovesremainingtonersonthedrumsurfaceafterimagetransfer

tothepaper.
