8.3 Error messages

The CLV490 outputs coded error message (number combinations) via the auxiliary inter-

face only. Table 8-1 contains a list of the messages.

Displaying messages:

To display the messages on the PC, proceed as follows in CLV-Setup:

¾ Click in the toolbar.

The Terminal Emulator is launched.

CLV-Setup logs the error messages automatically in a file (sys_msg.log).

8.3.1 CLV490 without external parameter memory

If the error occurs again after

the CLV490 is restarted, con-

tact the SICK Service depart-

ment.

1) Deactivate the CAN interface to suppress error numbers above 300 (not relevant in stand-alone mode).

To do so, upload the parameter set from the CLV490 using CLV-Setup, choose the CAN I

NTERFACE tab and deactivate the function in the CAN INTERFACE FUNCTION section.

Download the parameter set to the CLV490!
