13.7 DeviceNet Interface
13.7.1 General
The vendor-ID of the DME5000-xx4 and DME5000-xx5 (DeviceNet) is 808.
The DeviceNet type (generic type) is 0.
The product code has 3 digits:
DME5000-xx4 has product code 4
DME5000-xx5 has product code 5
The basis is the DeviceNet specification 2.0, errata 5.
The product name is "DME5000".
13.7.2 Configuration
Configuration and commissioning of the DME5000 as a DeviceNet slave is explained
based on an Allen-Bradley software "RS Networx for DeviceNet (Revision 4.12)":
Procedure:
DME5000-xx4
Plug on and connect 8-pin M16 device
Plug on and connect 5-pin M12 device
DME5000-xx5
Plug on and connect 5-pin M12 device
Import ESD file from included disc.
Click Tools/EDS-Wizzard and follwo the EDS wizard's instructions.
The DME5000 appears in the folder "...\DeviceNet\Vendor\SICKAG\GenericDevice".
Attach to bus with the mouse pointer (see screenshot).
Double-click the address (here 06) to set the slave address (compare page 20
"3.1.2 Bus Address"). The baud rate must match as well.
