The CS1140 fire detection system is designed for rational systems engineering.
Connection work at the control unit can be done by non specialist personnel (e.g.
outside electricians). However, co-ordinated supervision is still essential. Specially
trained personnel with a maintenance PC are required for commissioning (service engi-
neer).
Procedure
Preparatory work (by planner / system supervisor)
System planning
Draw up connection diagram for the control unit
Deliver control unit cabinet, module chassis and connection panel
Instruct installation personnel
Installation / Connection of control unit (by electrician)
Installation of module chassis at prescribed location
Connect lines to detectors, alarm devices etc., on connection panel according to
diagram
Check detector line network up to and including connection panel in the control unit
Commissioning (by service engineer)
Mount card holder, connection cable etc.
Insert electronics modules and plug in I-Bus
Prepare the system logical structure or take over that from the planner
Specify individual systems functions
Specify user text
Set parameters for detectors with special evaluating algorithms
Detector location
Test control unit and detectors
