7.2 Control terminal limits (CT/CI)
define the required number of
control terminals by going
through this flow chart
7.2.1 Maximum number of texts
The number of texts of other stations (i.e. AREAS) that can be displayed on one control
terminal (CT/CI) is limited.
The following calculation must be used:
twice the number of visible SECTIONS
+ the number of visible ZONES
+ the number of visible ELEMENTS with element text
= number of texts
Limit for ’CT1142’ (B3Q460/480/670, B3Q660/680/685)
The max. number of texts is fix 8500.
Limit for ’CI1142’ (B3Q460/480/670, B3Q660/680/685)
The max. number of texts is depending on the number of devices already configured in
the control unit.

ELEMENTS per ZONE
Example:
Average number of ELEMENTS per ZONE: 5 = 540 texts per 100 devices
Free RAM space: 600 devices (according to example in graphic chapter 7.1.1)
–> maximum number of texts: 540 x 6 = 3240 texts
540
Number of texts per 100 not configured devices in the control unit
The given limits for the station (CI/CC), the gateway (CK) and the AlgoWorks utility
programs have to be checked as well!
