3.3.2 Connecting the power supply
Procedure
The tablet is supplied with power either externally from the electricity supply network (grid
power) or from the internal rechargeable battery. Recommendation: During first
commissioning, operate the tablet with mains power.
1. Open the protective cover on the power supply connection by pulling out the retainer on the
outside of the tablet.
2. Plug the DC cable of the external power supply unit into the connection socket on the device
or docking station.
3. Plug the three-wire connector of the power supply cord into the power supply unit.
4. Plug the power plug of the power supply cord into a power outlet with grounded protective
conductor.
The device is operated with grid power. The rechargeable battery is charged during
operation.
The "Battery" status display indicates the various operating states, see "Status displays
(Page 14)" section.
