6.4.1 Recovering the tablet with the wizard (Recovery)
The tablet has a separate recovery partition on its hard disk, which enables fast recovery with
a single mouse click. This partition utilizes approximately 20 GB of memory capacity.
Risk of data loss
During recovery of the system partition, all data on the hard disk is deleted and the hard disk
is rewritten. All files, user settings, and existing authorizations or license keys are lost!
Before starting the wizard:
• Back up all your user data on an external storage medium.
• Make a note of important settings in the operating system and in programs.
• Start a safety backup in the operating system and in programs.
Procedure
1. Connect the power supply unit to the tablet. Make sure that the tablet remains connected to
the power source during the recovery operation.
2. Switch on the tablet. When the start screen appears, press the <Fn1> or <F6> key if you
have connected an external USB keyboard.
The wizard recovery menu appears:
