The control dynamic that can be achieved using a synchronous motor corresponds to that of
an induction motor:
● Power-up time from standstill to rated speed ≥ 1 s
● Starting torque ≤ 2 × rated torque of the motor
This type of operation is intended for applications in which greater energy efficiency is
required than can be achieved with an induction motor.
