8.3.3
Parameters: Limits: H2S sensor protection
If 'H
2
S' is selected as the component in the higher-level menu
display, the 'H
2
S sensor protection' function is selected in addi-
tion to the limits. The 'Limit' function is described
in section
Parameters: Limits
(Page 128).
In the 3rd line you can select the 'H
2
S sensor protection' func-
tion.
The adjacent menu display appears when you select the fun
c-
tion in which you can switch the 'H
2
S sensor protection' func-
tion on and off.
Hydrogen sulfide (H
2
S) is a corrosive gas, especially in wet
condition and in combination with other gases. This function
prevents damage occurring to the H
2
S sensor from high con-
centrations of H
2
S. This function is enabled by default (
ON
).
Execution of this function is described in section
Probe protec-
tion function
(Page 156).
8.3.4
Parameters: Time constants
You can use this function to set various time constants to su
p-
press noise in the measured signal. During processing of the
measured signals, these time constants reduce the noise by
de
laying the signal. The time constant "
T
90
within"
is effective
within an adjustable interval whose threshold values are d
e-
fined as a percentage of the smallest measuring range. The
time constant dampens small changes in signal (e.g. noise),
but becomes imm
ediately ineffective if a fast change in signal
exceeds a threshold. If the threshold is exceeded, the signal is
dampened by the time constant "T
90
outside
" until it falls below
the threshold value again. "T
90
within
" then becomes effective
again.
