TROUBLE MESSAGES
Trouble messages from the audio system are shown on the alphanumeric display and entered into the Trouble Log.
The operator uses the operator interface panel keys to acknowledge the trouble, silence the alarm, and reset the
trouble condition. See Section 3, Trouble Conditions for required operations.
AUDIO Walk Test
The Audio Walk Test
announces zone numbers rather than pulsing zone numbers. To report a zone, the system
announces the words TESTING ZONE along with the digits of the zone number associated with that point. For
example, if zone 97 were being tested, the system would announce TESTING ZONE NINE SEVEN. (See Section
10 for Walk Test
Procedures.)
Walk Test
TROUBLE AUDIBLE
If a trouble is detected on a zone during the Walk Test
, the system will first announce the message TESTING
ZONE (along with the digits of the zone being tested), and then say TROUBLE. For example, if an open circuit
trouble is detected on zone 97, the system announces TESTING ZONE NINE SEVEN, TROUBLE.
Testing of signal circuit supervision and system troubles (e.g., earth ground trouble) was added in Version 3.01 of
the 4100 system software.
