4.13 STLINK
Both STSW-WBC2STUDIO and STM32Cube programmer require STLINK (or a generic UART bridge) when
connecting to the board. STLINK-V3, STLINK-V3MINI, and STLINK-V3MINIE are supported.
All mentioned STLINK devices provide both SWD and UART interfaces.
4.13.1 STLINK drivers
The necessary drivers are either automatically installed together with STM32CubeProgrammer or can be
downloaded from
www.st.com.
4.14
STM32Cube programmer
If the firmware loaded into the device is corrupted, the UART interface cannot be used to access the device.
Instead, the device can be accessed via the SWD interface, supported by STLINK-V3MINIE.
STM32CubeProgrammer provides an easy-to-use and efficient environment for reading, writing, and verifying the
device memory, using JTAG and SWD interfaces. It also provides a bootloader interface: UART, USB DFU, I²C,
SPI, CAN.
The SWD interface can be used to load the firmware binary into the device.
STM32CubeProgrammer can be downloaded from www.st.com.
