WARNING
Risk of scalding!
Only open the coolant reservoir filler cap when the
engine has cooled down.
– Slowly open the coolant reservoir filler cap
(1) and release over pressure.
– Unscrew further and remove the cap.
– If necessary, top up the coolant up to the
marking plate in the coolant reservoir. For
information about the filling quantity in the
cooling system, see "maintenance data ta-
ble".
– For information about the correct concentra-
tion of coolant, refer to the following chap-
ter.
– Screw the coolant reservoir filler cap (1)
back on tightly.
Concentration of the coolant additive
CAUTION
Risk of corrosion!
The percentage of coolant additive must always be
at least 40%, even if frost protection is not needed in
warmer climates.
If an increased level of frost protection is required for
climatic reasons, the percentage of coolant can be
increased to up to 60%.
The percentage of coolant additive must not exceed
60%, as otherwise the frost protection is reduced. In
addition, the cooling effect is also reduced.
Only use clean, softened water for the water percent-
age.
