6.6.7 Steering
The standard machine model is equipped with a front axle steering.
Hydraulic steering reduces the effort required to actuate the steering
wheel.
Four-wheel steering is an optional extra. Four-wheel steering with
opposite steering angle of the front and rear wheels acts as a
reduction of the wheelbase and the turning radius. Four-wheel
steering allows to manoeuvre the machine under difficult or strongly
limited spacious conditions.
Hydraulic steering only works with the diesel engine running.
Four-wheel steering can be switched on and off as required.
With the four-wheel steering switched on, the travelling speed is
limited to 16 km/h.
First align the wheels in a straight line before switching the four-wheel
steering on or off.
WARNING
Impairment of driving safety if the steering wheel is difficult to
turn due to a defect in the hydraulic steering or due to the
hydraulic steering not working!
Have a defective steering immediately repaired.
