PREPARATION PRIOR TO USE
1 - 10 STRYKER MEDICAL/BERTEC MEDICAL
LOCKING SAFETY SIDE-RAILS
■ Make sure that safety side-rails are latched and locked in fully
raised position.
Refer to Half-Length Safety Side-Rails section (page 2-8) or Full-Length Safety Side-Rails section
(page 2-9).
UNLOCKING SAFETY SIDE-RAILS
■ Make sure that latching mechanism levers work correctly and
return to their proper position after unlatching.
Refer to Half-Length Safety Side-Rails section (page 2-8) or Full-Length Safety Side-Rails section
(page 2-9).
PATIENT CONTROLS (optional)
■ Place selective lock-out commands (D) in “On” position and make
sure patient controls operate properly.
Refer to Fixed Patient Control section (page 2-11) or Movable Patient Control section (page 2-14).
INSTANT CPR RELEASE (optional)
■ If your bed is equipped with this release, make sure that it operates
properly and mechanism resets automatically.
Refer to Instant CPR Release section, page 2-12.
