Bed Elevation and Elevation of Sections of Sleeping Surface
NURSING CONTROL CENTRE
The nursing control centre at the foot of the bed allows care giver to:
■ completely deactivate bed (A);
■ turn patient controls on or off (B);
■ set height of sleeping surface and position of head and thigh
sections (C).
When the main switch (A) is turned off, all patient control
commands automatically reset to the “OFF” position.
TO RAISE OR LOWER SLEEPING SURFACE
Three pictograms identify elevation controls:
■ Press arrow for desired elevation of bed or movement of either
section of sleeping surface.
An emergency crank handle (optional) may be used to set
sleeping surface positions in case of power failure.
Refer to Emergency Crank Handle section, page 2-14.
A thermal protection switch automatically cuts power to
motors in case of excessive use.
In order to maintain them in good working order, motors are
equipped with a thermal protection switch that automatically cuts
power in case of excessive use.
Should a motor stop running under these circumstances, it will
run again after you let it cool off.
