Moving the Bed
BASE WITH CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM
To move a bed equipped with a central locking system, use brake pedal
located on bed base.
To completely immobilize bed
■ Depress and engage the “TOTAL” red side of the brake pedal.
Casters will no longer pivot or roll.
To move bed in a straight line
■ Depress and engage the green “AXIAL” side of the brake pedal. One
caster will no longer pivot, but all casters will roll.
For full bed mobility
■ Bring pedal to horizontal position to free all 4 casters.
BASE WITH TOTAL BRAKING CASTERS SYSTEM
To immobilize bed
■ Individually lock head end and foot end casters (identified by the
word “ON” on certain models of casters).
Casters will no longer roll and prevent all bed movement.
BASE WITH DIRECTIONAL STEERING AND TOTAL BRAKING CASTERS SYSTEM
To move bed in a straight line
■ Engage the caster equipped with a directional brake (identified on
bed base by an “AXIAL” sticker).
Caster will no longer pivot, but will roll.
DANGER
Always lock casters once the bed has reached its destination.
