Micro-Switches
The contour positioning option adjusts sleeping section angles by means
of micro-switches located on the interior side of the bed frame.
The instant CPR release, which immediately returns the head section to a
horizontal position, triggers micro-switches located on the interior side of
the bed frame and under the head section of the sleeping surface.
TO REPLACE A MICRO-SWITCH LOCATED ON THE BED FRAME
1. Adjust all sleeping surfaces to horizontal position and raise bed to
highest elevation.
2. Unplug bed from wall receptacle.
3. Unscrew protective covers from underside of bed frame.
4. Identify the micro-switch to be replaced and remove screws holding
its support to underside of bed frame.
5. Disconnect wires connecting micro-switch to its bracket and remove
screws fastening switch to bracket.
6. Set replacement micro-switch on the bracket in exactly the same
position as the defective part removed.
7. Reconnect wires to the correct terminal blades on micro-switch.
■ Make sure that the connectors are solidly attached. If necessary,
use a pair of pliers to pinch connectors.
