PARTS REPLACEMENT
Thigh Section Translating Screw
We recommend changing the ACME nut when replacing a
translating screw.
■ Uncouple translating screw from motor. Follow steps 1
through 9 in Motor section of this chapter.
1. Remove protective plate under bed, if need be, and unbolt thigh
section lever (A) from ACME nut fork (B). Keep nylon washers.
2. Eject the 4 spring pins which block bearing (C) and ACME nut.
3. Unbolt bearing plates (D).
4. Push translating screw towards head end of bed so its non-threaded
end can be taken out of nylon coupling (E).
5. Pull motor from socket. Keep nylon washer placed between motor
and translating screw.
