9. Screw ACME nut on translating screw while directing fork lever
towards bearing plate.
10. Slide new screw into opening on frame and bolt head screw bracket
(C) and bearing plates (D) in place (refer to step 4).
11. Return head section of sleeping surface to horizontal position.
12. Tighten or loosen translating screw to align end of ACME nut fork
with end of head section lever.
13. Insert nylon washers between both parts and bolt parts together
with light pressure only.
■ Follow steps 13 to 20 in the Motor section to finish installa-
tion.
■ Grease the threaded section the ACME nut moves over. Activate
mechanism to spread grease over entire thread.
Use a synthetic teflon lubricant available at Bertec Médical’s
Parts Department.
