Inserting the fiber into the splicer
0. Open the hood.
1. Place the fiber holder onto the fiber holder stage, fitting the pin of the stage into the
hole of the fiber holder.
Take great care not to
touch the fiber end face
against any surfaces.
3. Close the hood.
4. Start the splicing process.
(Note: Perform an arc test prior to splicing.)
2. Make sure that the fiber sits in the V-groove correctly.
