Safety Instructions
2.1 Intended Usage
This PCS developed and manufactured by SUNGROW without a transformer is for power
conversion in energy storage system. It provides an interface for the grid and battery for stor-
age system charging and discharging. The AC side of the PCS is connected to the grid or
load through an external step-up transformer.
With TYPE3R protection rate, the PCS can be installed outdoors.
Through the external medium-voltage transformer, the AC output voltage of the PCS is
raised to a grid-required level. Then the PCS can be connected to the grid. For specific tech-
nical requirements of the transformer, please refer to the “Connection Requirements of Me-
dium-Voltage Transformer”.
PCS can be adapted to a single-stage system solution (no DCDC) and a two-stage system
solution (DCDC+battery), as shown in Figure 2-1 and Figure 2-2.
