• When the PCS is exposed to sunlight, interior temperature rises rapidly, which impairs
charging and discharge. Install an awning or other shading equipment or install the PCS
in a shade.
• Considering the local wind direction when designing the air outlet orientation.
5.2.4 Cable Trench
The external cables can route into or out of the cabinet through the bottom of the PCS. Ca-
ble trenches or steel supports above the floor are recommended (Refer to relevant design
guides or standards). If cable trenches are designed, fix the PCS with foot screw or steel
channel; if steel supports are designed, fix the PCS directly to the steel support.
Cable trenches should be dimensioned and designed by construction party and take the de-
vice weight and dimensions into consideration.
Good electrical connection is preferred among the cable trenches and between cables and
grounding electrodes.
Cable trenches are shown as below. Cable support arms can be used to support cables. Sig-
nal cables should be separated from power cables and DC loop should be separated from
the AC loop for enough distance to avoid interference.

5.2.5 Other Requirements
With IP65 protection degree, the PCS can be installed outdoors. According to EMC require-
ments and noise level, the PCS should be installed in industrial environment or outdoors.
After finishing wiring, fasten the waterproof terminals of the cable entries. Seal the bottom
gap with fireproof mud. In case there are vacant waterproof terminals, seal them with appro-
priate plugs, to meet waterproof and dustproof requirements.
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Otherwise, excessively high temperature will im-
pair charging and discharging.
